Orvis to Host Sarah Lee Guthrie in Support of BROC's Heating Assistance Program.
The granddaughter of Woody Guthrie and the daughter of Arlo, Sarah Lee Guthrie will be performing in Manchester, Vermont with her husband Johnny Irion on Friday December 2 at 7:30 pm at Burr & Burton's Riley Center for the Arts. The event, sponsored by The Orvis Company, will benefit the Shareheat program of BROC-Community Action in Southwestern Vermont. Shareheat provides financial assistance to those who cannot afford to pay their heating bills. All proceeds raised from the evening's ticket sales will be matched 100% by Central Vermont Public Service then donated to the Shareheat program.
Tickets are only $15.00 and available for purchase at the Orvis Flagship Store on historic Route 7A in Manchester and by calling BROC at 800-717-BROC (2762). They also will be available at the door the night of the show.

All proceeds will be donated to AmeriCares, which is providing medicines, medical relief and water purification in Sri Lanka, Indonesia, and India. The charity will funnel 99 percent of all donations received directly into these efforts.
Scheduled to perform are Syd Straw, The Jim Gilmour Band, Chris Kleeman and Bob Stannard, The Bondville Boys with Laura Molinelli, Family & Friends featuring the Ralph Family, Antje Ruppert and John Pozzi, Rebecca Hall and Ken Anderson, Wayne DeVaul and Clarke Comollo, and other special guests. Rabbi Bob Alper will be master of ceremonies.
Tickets will be available at the door, Northshire Bookstore and Vermont Kitchen Supply on Route 7A (Main Street, near Mother Myrick's) in Manchester Center. Checks should be made payable to "Hands Across the Water." In case of bad weather, the show will be held at the church the following night
